Patrick Cates

Patrick Cates is Senior Director of Philanthropic Partnerships for the El-Hibri Foundation (EHF). In this capacity, he contributes to a diverse portfolio of projects, with a particular focus on grantees and philanthropic partners. Mr. Cates has more than 15 years' experience working in the nonprofit sector as a consultant with a focus on strategic planning, institutional development, and education within the American Muslim community. He previously served as Senior Communications Officer for the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU). A believer in the efficacy of faith-based community development, Mr. Cates volunteers his time to support the efforts of Habitat for Humanity, DREAM of Detroit, and currently serves on the Interfaith Committee of the Muslim Unity Center of Bloomfield Hills, where he was previously a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer.
