Social Justice

The Foundation’s Social Justice seeks to build a better world by fostering equality, justice, mutual understanding and community. To that end, the Foundation supports organizations who:

• Work for equality and justice for the disadvantaged,
• Advance human rights for women and children,
• Promote mutual understanding and respect for diversity, human rights and religious beliefs, and
• Address misperceptions of Muslim opinions among the West and Islamic countries.

The Foundation provides grants to organizations that work for the public good. Grantees include:

• Augsburg College
• Karamah: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights
• Unity Productions Foundation
• The Social Welfare Institutions of Lebanon—Dar al Aytam Al Islamiyah
